Cloud-based platform designed to aid collaboration on building project specifications

Building Systems Design (BSD) has launched a new cloud platform designed to simplify sharing and collaborating on building project specifications. SpecLink Cloud enables architects, engineers and specifiers to share and review specifications with their constituents including owners, consultants and contractors.

Projects can be accessed on any browser-enabled device with information organised on a central, secure platform. Users also have complete control over who has access to that information.

The SpecLink Cloud platform is designed to simplify collaboration by organising reviewer comments in a central location, with easy access by every project team member. According to the developers, this significantly reduces the time needed to collect and aggregate feedback.

SpecLink Cloud is a companion tool to BSD’s SpecLink-E, a solution for specification writing and production that provides documentation for all types of projects and all phases of a project, from programming through construction administration.

“SpecLink Cloud gives our clients the power to quickly and easily view and share project specifications,” said Chris Anderson, BSD’s chief executive officer. “The quality of the end result is most important to our clients, and SpecLink Cloud will clarify communication and coordinate federated documentation. We’re confident this new tool, combined with our SpecLink-E software, will improve efficiencies and reduce redundancies for our clients.”
