BIMobject launches BIMscript, an open scripting language and BIMobject LENA, a BIM object authoring solution

BIMobject has delivered two new tools to help streamline and accelerate the process of BIM content creation: an open scripting language called BIMscript and a Rhino-based BIM object authoring solution called BIMobject LENA.

The BIMscript open scripting language enables smart BIM objects to be created. It is a subset of the C programming language and includes not only parametric behaviours but also calculations, product logic, level of detail (with several levels of complexity of geometry and geometry combinations) and a wide range of properties and attributes.

Operating in the cloud BIMscript can generate intelligent, native BIM objects for a number of popular BIM applications from Autodesk, Graphisoft, and Trimble. It also generates objects in commonly used formats such as IFC, 3DS, DWG and WebGL

BIMobject LENA is an authoring app for the 3D CAD system Rhino that works in combination with the modelling and optimisation features of Rhino to generate BIMscript. Mechanical CAD geometry can be imported from most mechanical CAD systems, including Catia, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, IGES, NX, JT, Inventor and Pro/E.

BIMobject LENA is directly connected to the BIMobject. Cloud. According to the developer, this provides a seamless workflow to publish objects and includes connection to the corresponding product information stored in property sets in the BIMobject Cloud.
