1819 0

Cloud tool designed to streamline BIM model viewing and issue resolution by removing the need for file-based collaboration

3D Repo has produced a short video to highlight the capabilities of its online BIM platform, which allows architects, consultants and contractors to view and markup BIM models and resolve issues, all through a web browser.

The technology preview / showcase video focuses on the Wood Wharf Development in London’s Canary Wharf.

Highlighted features include Ordnance Survey API integration for project context, federation of multiple models, large model support (4.6GB, 57 million vertices, 1 million objects), live sectioning, measurement, issue resolution (including comment, mark-up), and navigation.

3D Repo can support more than 40 different 3D file formats, including meta data. The 3D Repo team has collaborated on a number of large scale projects with companies such as ARUP, Balfour Beatty and British Telecom. It uses WebGL and run on Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Opera, including mobile devices.
