Latest release introduces advance terrain modelling, phasing animation and more
D5 Render 2.9, the latest release of the AEC-focused real-time viz tool, includes 19 new features and over 320 new assets.
One of the headline new features is the advanced Terrain tool, which is said to transform landscape design by allowing users to sculpt realistic, dynamic environments directly within the software.
Also new to D5 Render 2.9 is Phasing Animation, which is designed to make it easier to visualize step-by-step processes, such as how a building is constructed from the ground up or how different components of a product fit together.
D5 Render 2.9 also enhances real-time rendering with the FPS Booster for Complex Geometry, which is designed to optimise performance for intricate meshes and densely populated scenes. According to the developers, this ensures smooth navigation even with large models.
The update also brings smoother integration with Rhino, 3ds Max, and Blender, UI customisations, and Random Placement to help avoid uniform, repetitive patterns in scenes.
The software’s AI Enhancer has also been improved, allowing users to transform renders into unique styles such as watercolor or photorealistic effects.
Finally, new assets include elderly and children character models, as well as over 160 new indoor and outdoor materials, such as tiles, fabrics, and natural surfaces.
