UK firm will target building owners, subcontractors, and building product manufacturers working towards Building Lifecycle Management (BLM)
Majenta Solutions has been awarded AEC accreditation by Dassault Systèmes, extending the range of software and services it can offer firms within the construction industry.
With Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE platform Majenta will target building owners, subcontractors, and building product manufacturers with a view to adding ‘significant value’ to construction companies working towards Building Lifecycle Management (BLM).
“The AEC accreditation from Dassault Systèmes gives a positive boost to Majenta Solutions’ Digital Construction team and the hard work they have put in through the last few years to build up a reputation in the construction industry,” said James Smith, BIM Solutions Manager at Majenta Solutions. “I personally see our accreditation with Dassault Systèmes as a key part of our strategy in growing our digital construction footprint as we move forward as a company. Combining this with our existing partnerships with BIMObject, COBie and British Standards Institution (BSI) that support our core service offerings will allow us to develop and expand.”
Majenta Solutions has a long history of providing support, services and consultancy to the automotive, aerospace and manufacturing sectors – industries that the UK firm believes the digital construction industry is desperately trying to learn from.
“The construction industry is much less efficient than the manufacturing industry, according to many national surveys. Using manufacturing techniques like modular delivery, lean practices, and off-site fabrication builders can reduce labour by half, and deliver projects with a third less costs,” says Patrick Mayes, expert business consultant for AEC idustry at Dassault Systèmes. “Dassault Systèmes is a global leader in solutions for large scale manufacturing and now the 3DEXPERIENCE platform is being adopted by some of the most innovative companies in the construction industry.”
