Global partnership advances Admares’ strategy to industrialise and digitise modular construction
Admares, developer of industrialised home-manufacturing technology, has formed a global partnership with ABB Robotics to advance automation and intelligent manufacturing systems within its modular construction model.
ABB Robotics will act as a key technology partner and supplier of robotics software and hardware across Admares’ future production platforms.
The collaboration centres on integrating advanced robotics and intelligent production systems into Admares’ industrialised manufacturing operations. As part of the agreement, ABB Robotics will play a central role in the development of a planned Smart Factory in Australia.

The facility is being designed as a digitally integrated, AI-enabled production platform developed alongside Porsche Consulting, MHP, a Porsche Company, Siemens, EDAG Group, and incorporating Nvidia technologies. The factory is intended to operate using an Industrial AI Operating System combining robotics, digital precision engineering, AI-driven production planning, predictive maintenance and real-time digital twin technology.
Mikael Hedberg, founder and chief executive of Admares, said the partnership completes a critical component of the company’s smart factory platform. “Together with our partners in precision engineering, AI and industrial optimisation, ABB Robotics strengthens our automation strategy and enables us to build a fully integrated, next-generation manufacturing environment for industrialised housing,” he said.
Craig McDonnell, managing director of business line industries at ABB Robotics, said the collaboration would support the broader industrialisation of housing. “By integrating robotics into advanced housing manufacturing, we can help enable safer, more efficient and scalable production environments,” McDonnell said.
Admares will be speaking at NXT BLD on 13 May 2026 at the Queen Elzabeth II Centre, London.
Toni Stenström, the company’s Chief Operating Officer will explain the company’s smart factory approach to fabricating buildings.
