New 1.7 release also boasts 20% performance boost and support for Revit LT
Autodesk Revit Live is the new name for Autodesk LIVE, the cloud-based design viz service that transforms Revit models into ‘game engine’ and VR experiences in a few clicks.
The standout new feature of the new 1.7 release is Level of Detail geometry generation and material instancing, which Autodesk says results in a 20% performance improvement for users when working with large models [e.g. a hospital complex] and virtual reality.
The new release offers support for Revit LT (it was previously available only for users of Revit). Custom building materials are also now supported in Revit Live, giving customers greater flexibility to create unique visualisations.
