The latest release of Asta Powerproject improves resource and cost analysis while BIM version aims to bring 4D planning within affordable reach
Version 13 of the scalable project management product suite Asta Powerproject includes new functionality designed to help users to analyse resource and cost throughout the lifecycle of a project more accurately.
The new features are said to allow tasks to be linked automatically as they are created or selected, handing more control over a project back to the user, and taking all levels of skill availability into account when checking the availability of permanent resources.
The software is also available with a BIM version, which is said to bring 4D planning within affordable reach by combining 3D planning and scheduling in one application. Asta Powerproject BIM incorporates features that enable 4D planning, with a view to driving greater collaboration, and delivering communication, time and efficiency benefits.
Asta Powerproject is a project, portfolio and resource management software solution, available in stand-alone and enterprise versions. The software was originally developed for the AEC industry and is used throughout the world by construction contractors on projects of all sizes and by all industry sectors.
