Four UK projects shortlisted in Bentley Systems’ Year in Infrastructure 2018
Bentley Systems has announced the finalists in its Year in Infrastructure 2018 Awards program, including four projects from the UK.
For the Piccadilly Line Upgrade, Transport for London – Major Projects Directorate used Bentley’s integrated modelling and project delivery applications to help coordinate more than 11,600 project documents and produce highly detailed 3D models and animated renderings which will be used as a foundation for effective project delivery and whole life asset management.
On the Tideway Tunnels C410 Central Contract, AECOM used ProjectWise Project Insights to mine the rich seams of data in every ProjectWise project to automate the delivery of dynamic visualizations into project performance.
For the Bank Station Capacity Upgrade, Dragados SA & Transport for London used a range of Bentley software, including AECOsim Building Designer, to design a new passenger entrance with passenger concourse, train and platform tunnel, and passenger connections with triple escalators.
On HS2 Main Works Lots S1 and S2, Skanska Costain Strabag Joint Venture’s (SCS) multi-discipline design team used Bentley software to implement Level 2 BIM standards to achieve an approved conceptual design for 26 kilometers of high speed railway.
Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony and gala on October 18 during Bentley’s Year in Infrastructure 2018 Conference, which will be held October 15 through 18 in London at the Hilton London Metropole.
AEC Magazine will be in attendance at the conference, which features keynotes, interactive learning sessions, live technology presentations, panel discussions, and the finalists’ project presentations.
