AEC firms and collaborators can now create, track and manage comments in Dalux BIM Viewer+

Dalux has added new collaboration and commenting features to its free BIM Viewer, Dalux BIM Viewer+.

Users can now create, track and manage comments in the web-based viewer, mobile or desktop application (Android, iPhone, iPad or Windows).

BIM co-ordination is supported by the BIM Collaboration Format (BCF). According to Dalux, having all comments, queries and questions in one place helps avoid issues getting lost in external email communication.

Dalux BIM Viewer+ allows users to share drawings and BIM models with internal and external clients. IFC can be uploaded to the BIM engine or plug-ins can be used to import files directly from Revit, Navisworks and ArchiCAD.

IFC and Revit files can be visualised in the same model, combined with 2D drawings in PDF, DWG, DWFX, PNG or JPG format. For drilling down into BIM data, users can setup custom filters, filter by properties, and save new filters

Other features of the free BIM viewer include a mobile measurement tool that can measure the distance between objects in 3D.
