Courses developed by ‘experienced BIM experts‘ with ‘extensive knowledge’ of the international standard
BRE Academy, a specialist in practical training for construction and other sectors, has re-shaped its BIM training courses based on ISO 19650, the international standard for managing information over the life cycle of a built asset.
ISO 19650: BIM Essentials is designed to provide an overview of information management using BIM, following ISO 19650 parts 1 and 2. According to BRE Academy, those who complete the course will be ready to implement the information management process within their organisation.
ISO 19650: Delivering Information Management is for professionals who undertake an Information Management function in accordance with ISO 19650-2. It offers a practical approach to better information management and is designed to prepare course learners for the delivery of BIM Information Management processes within their organisation. The day includes workshops, exercises, discussion points and concludes with an open book exam.
According to BRE Academy, both courses have been developed by experienced BIM experts with extensive working knowledge of ISO 19650 and the previous BS and PAS 1192 standards.
The courses are available in a ‘virtual classroom’ interactive online learning environment, or ‘self-study’ where course attendees learn at their own pace and time. BRE Academy also offers bespoke in-person training for businesses.
