Allows users to check entire Revit projects against codes, standards, specifications, and model performance
Pirros, the AI project hub for architects and engineers, has added a new AI-powered Quality Management System (QMS) that allows users to review an entire Revit project throughout design development — against codes, their firm’s standards, project specifications, and model performance.
Any issues that are found can then be assigned to an individual, tracked, and resolved before they become RFIs or rework. Issues can also be assigned to Mira, the Pirros AI agent, to make the fix directly in the Revit model.
According to Ari Baranian, the CEO of Pirros, “Our QMS is different from most QA/QC drawing checkers in the market, which typically work with exported drawing sets that are disconnected from the Revit model data and often require users to input findings manually.”
With Pirros, Mira carries out the review with the context it already has of the firm’s standards, Revit models, and project specifications. This allows it to identify quality issues in context and proactively suggest or make fixes directly in the project.
Findings are surfaced in the model, but never auto-applied. The system provides a full audit trail of what was flagged, who resolved it, and when.
Trent Piazzoni, project architect at Number TEN Architectural Group in Winnipeg, was an early beta tester of the QMS. In his view, “When you’re working on a school, experience tells you many of the items that require particular attention. This [QMS] platform can reinforce that process by consistently highlighting relevant items that may warrant another look.”
