Stockholm-based startup backed by Andreessen Horowitz targets engineering consultancies with automated system design, routing and documentation
Endra, a Stockholm-based AI company focused on mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering, has opened offices in New York, San Francisco and London as it begins scaling outside its home market. The expansion follows a $50 million Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz earlier this year.
The company’s platform is aimed at the detailed engineering work that sits behind every major building project, the calculation of loads and flows, system sizing, device placement, routing of cabling, ductwork and piping, cross-discipline coordination and production of construction documentation.
Endra says its software ingests standard building model files, integrates with BIM tools including Revit, and reconstructs each building in a detailed 3D environment from which it automates system design, routing, model generation and compliance-ready documentation across 3D and 2D deliverables. The company claims a code-compliant electrical design for a 500,000 square foot commercial building that would traditionally take around two months can be completed in less than a day.

The business case rests on a capacity problem that is well recognised across the industry. Data centres, electrification programmes, hospital projects and net-zero mandates are all increasing MEP engineering complexity at a time when qualified engineers are in short supply and training pipelines cannot keep pace. Endra’s pitch to enterprise consultancies is that the platform allows firms to scale their existing expertise rather than simply adding another drafting tool.
Co-founder and president Anton Juric is leading the US expansion from New York, with the company already in discussions with several of the world’s largest engineering firms. “The shift to AI-native engineering is underway,” he said. “The firms that move first will have more capacity, faster timelines, and a new way to scale their expertise.”
The London office serves as a hub for enterprise customers across Europe and the Middle East. Endra says it is hiring across engineering, sales and customer success in all three new locations, targeting 100 employees globally over the next twelve months.
Adapting the platform to local codes, standards and design workflows in the US and UK is being led by product engineer Hadla Bergman, who previously worked at Swedish autonomous freight company Einride.
Endra plans to unveil its electrical module at Epoch, a launch event in Las Vegas on 14 September 2026, with speakers including chess grandmaster Garry Kasparov. CEO and co-founder Niklas Lindgren said the event represents “the biggest step forward in our product’s history.”
