New pay-as-you-go suite offers lower point of entry to collaborative model-based building design
The Autodesk Revit Collaboration Suite is a new pay-as-you-go offering designed to provide architects, engineers, and contractors with a more flexible, lower cost entry point to collaborative BIM workflows. It includes the latest releases of Autodesk AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit, plus Autodesk A360 Team cloud collaboration software, which offers a centralised platform for storing, sharing, and exchanging project files.
The Autodesk Revit Collaboration Suite is available with ‘pay-as-you-go licensing’ so users only pay for software when they need it. There are monthly, quarterly, or annual pay-as-you-go license options designed to make the move to BIM easier with lower up-front costs and the flexibility to scale up or scale down licenses based on project requirements.
“The affordability of the Autodesk Revit Collaboration Suite makes it easier for design firms to try BIM and start the move from working only in 2D to 3D,” said Jim Lynch, vice president for building and construction at Autodesk. ‘Increasingly today, and certainly going forward, adopting a BIM workflow process is becoming a ‘must have’ to remain competitive. Autodesk Revit Collaboration Suite is tailored to meet the needs of building professionals making the transition to BIM.”
The Autodesk Revit Collaboration Suite is offered via monthly, quarterly, or annual pay-as-you-go license options designed to make the move to BIM easier with lower up-front costs and the flexibility to scale up or scale down licenses based on project requirements.
The monthly Suggested Retail Price (SRP) price is $315 (£250) and is available only in Autodesk’s online store. A quarterly price of $940 is available through US resellers. The annual price is $2,500 (£1,995).
For true entry-level BIM, without collaborative cloud-based tools, Autodesk also offers the AutoCAD Revit LT Suite, which starts at $65 per month.
