Software works with HTC Vive and places an emphasis on visual quality

Symmetry alpha, a new VR for architecture application that can import SketchUp models, is now available as a free download from STEAM.

Unlike other architectural CAD to VR tools we have seen the software allows users to browse and open SKP files directly from within the VR environment. Users simply hold a palette with one HTC Vive controller and select files with the other.

The software includes the standard teleport for navigation, players can be turned on / off within VR and there are also a number of markup tools. There seems to be an emphasis on visual quality with features like animated water. The software offers effects like shadows and textures and is currently compatible with SketchUp materials.
