Quality Assurance software developer joins Trimble, Nemetschek Group, Autodesk, Dassault Systemes and others
Solibri, a specialist in Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) solutions for the construction industry, has joined buildingSMART International, the organisation behind OpenBIM whose aim is to improve the exchange of information between software applications used in the construction industry.
Heikki Kulusjärvi, Solibri CEO said “buildingSMART International and Solibri share the same belief in open standards. Open BIM will drive this industry forward. It will offer savings in both time and costs. It will also support a more efficient workflow and by doing so, it will improve the environment. I look forward to working together to share our experiences within the network and beyond.”
Solibri Model Checker, the company’s flagship product, is sold in over 70 markets. It is used for BIM validation, compliance control, design co-ordination and code checking. Its customers include major building owners, construction companies, architects and engineering firms.
In June international design and engineering firm, Arup joined buildingSMART International as a member on the Strategic Advisory Council.
As a member of the Council, Arup will work with other members to provide advice on buildingSMART’s standards and compliance programs.
