BIM content package for plumbing and drainage designed to remove uncertainty in pipe design
Wavin, a UK manufacturer of plumbing, rainwater and drainage systems, will be pre-launching its BIM content package for plumbing and drainage at Ecobuild 2016.
Built in Revit, Wavin says its new ‘intelligence based’ system will remove uncertainty in pipe design and help to make the specification of the company’s plumbing and drainage systems even more accurate, cost effective and efficient.
The company adds that the construction design tool will allow specifiers and contractors working in Revit to have a high level of detail and accuracy when creating plumbing specifications. Features include automatic configuration and a fully integrated Bill of Materials.
Wavin has created 3D geometries in Revit and structured data templates for a range of products including OSMA Soil & Waste, Hep2O flexible plumbing, Tigris K1 press-fit plumbing and Wavin AS, the company’s acoustic solution.
Ecobuild 2016 is held at London ExCeL from 8 to 10 March 2016.
