The latest release of the AEC-focused VR tool can instantly gather collaborators together in the same position

Version 1.2 of the AEC-focused VR workflow tool Symmetry VR features enhanced online collaboration functionality that allows users to ‘more effectively present and communicate within VR’ along with support for SketchUp 2019.

A new gather command allows you to invite collaborators to gather around your position in Symmetry VR. According to the developers, this is very useful when working with multiple users in a large model. You can also teleport to others by selecting their names off a list.

Other features include a laser pointer to point out areas of interest and a revised user interface to aid in the usage of daylight and measure functionality.

Version 1.2 will be available on May 20.

Symmetry VR can import SketchUp files, complete with layers that can be toggled on and off at will. Users can also import and view a point cloud model as a .las or .laz file into VR at 1:1 scale.
