With MS Project integration, contractors can get their project schedule up and running in seconds says the Australian firm

Tenderfield has added construction scheduling, complete with MS Project integration, to its online construction management platform.

The new feature is designed to make it easy for construction teams to create and assign tasks to team members and sub-contractors, track the progress of every task, and collaborate with everyone connected with the project.

“The built-in auto-scheduling engine enables tasks to be linked, task duration to be updated and all critical path items to be tracked,” said Tenderfield director and co-founder, Jason Kamha. “With Tenderfield’s simplified mobile design, project tasks can be assigned, tracked and updated from any smart device.”

The Sydney-based company recently introduced Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to help its users automate the capture of certain data points from their construction projects’ plans.

When uploading plans to the Tenderfield system, users no longer have to manually type in plan numbers, document titles, revision numbers or document dates for each plan. Tenderfield’s Auto-label OCR Tool extracts each data point from all single-page pdf files in the user’s upload list. Once the text has been extracted, the Auto-label OCR Tool populates and saves each plan’s data points automatically

Tenderfield’s online platform is designed to make it easy for large teams to collaborate and automate their construction processes from pre-construction through to project completion. It provides tools to manage the tender/bidding process, document control and on-site project management activities. It also gives contractors access to a pre-qualified network of sub-contractors.
