Velocity Micro, the North American high-performance technology provider, has launched two 4U servers that support up to eight double slot GPUs, including the 48 GB Nvidia RTX 6000 Ada Generation (read our review).

The ProMagix G480a with AMD Epyc processors and ProMagix G480i with dual Intel Xeon Scalable processors are designed to accelerate simulation, rendering, analytics, deep learning, AI, and more.

The ProMagix G480a is billed as Velocity Micro’s most powerful rackmount server. It supports dual AMD Epyc 9004 series processors, up to the 96-core AMD Epyc 9654 for a total of 192 physical cores, 384 threads and up to 1 TB of 12-channel DDR5-4800MHz memory.

The ProMagix G480i features dual 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable Processors, up to the 48-core Intel Xeon Platinum 8468 for a total of 96 physical cores, 192 threads, and up to 1 TB of 12-channel DDR5-4800MHz memory.

Velocity Micro has also launched a desktop workstation with dual AMD Epyc 9004 processors.

The ProMagix HD360A features the same choice of processors up to the 96-core AMD Epyc 9654, a single GPU up to the 48 GB Nvidia RTX 6000 Ada Generation and up to 768 GB of DDR5-4800MHz memory.

To help dissipate the heat from the AMD Epyc processors, which have a TDP of 360W, the machine features a custom loop liquid cooling solution.
