Firm to laser scan cooling plants with a complex MEP structure and convert into an augmented BIM model with COBie worksheets
ViCon has been assigned by Qatar Foundation (QF) to conduct 3D laser scanning services in Education City, a 14 square kilometre educational centre located on the outskirts of Doha, the capital of Qatar.
ViCon’s scope of work will include the laser scanning activity of two highly technical cooling plants each measuring 20,000m² gross floor area with a complex MEP structure. The results of the laser scanning on site will be converted into an augmented BIM model with COBie worksheets and used for an as-built BIM documentation, which will help ensure an easy connection to QF’s Facility Management system.
