HP DesignJet T2600 MFP Plus Edition links to HP Build Workspace platform to keep paper and digital drawings in sync
HP has introduced the HP DesignJet T2600 MFP Plus Edition, its first large format multi-function printer specifically designed to keep printed paper drawings in sync with their digital counterparts.
Everything is routed through HP Build Workspace, the cloud-based construction collaboration platform, which allows users to scan, share, manage, and collaborate on drawings.
Drawings can be printed with a QR code so teams can confirm that paper plans on site match the latest digital version. Then when a paper drawing is marked up, and scanned by the MFP, it can be automatically linked to the digital version stored in HP Build Workspace, maintaining a single source of truth.
HP Build Workspace also includes an AI-powered tool that converts scanned raster drawings into editable CAD files.
HP has also launched a printer only version, the HP DesignJet T1600 Plus Edition.
Both printers feature print speeds of up to 180 D-size prints per hour and integrated automatic print stacking for up to 100 pages. They also include HP Click software and HP Click Driver enhancements to simplify PDF printing workflows, enabling users to preview files, detect print errors, and manage print settings through what HP describes as a more intuitive experience.
“The future of large-format printing is connected, intelligent, and built around how work actually happens today,” said Daniel Martinez, senior VP and division president, HP Large Format Printing. “With the new HP DesignJet T1600 & T2600 Plus Edition Printer series, we are helping AEC teams work more efficiently and effectively by connecting print workflows with the digital tools they already rely on every day across the office and jobsite.”
