Colortrac Ltd has announced its latest, high definition, large format scanner range, the SmartLF Ci 40 Series. Designed for the AEC and CAD markets, it offers contact image sensor (CIS) technology, face-up, front-loading of documents, and single roller technology that ejects the document from the front also. The CIS design improves light levels incident on the document being scanned and results in better images with reduced shadows and wrinkles caused by folds or creases in the original. The entry-level 600dpi printer should weigh in at around ú3,925, but Colortrac are determined this will benefit those in financial peril. Sales and marketing director Peter de Winter-Brown, said: ýSmartLF Ci 40 is easier and more intuitive to use than earlier wide format scanners and creates new, lower price points and operating costs for value conscious buyers in the post credit-crunch world.¯ WeÝre right behind you Peter, in the bread queue that is.
