Rendering technology integrated into Revit to support all stages of design process

Chaos Group has ‘intelligently integrated’ its V-Ray rendering technology into Autodesk Revit, tailoring it to meet the needs of architects at all stages of the design process – from concepting to VR.

V-Ray for Revit, currently in public beta, features a familiar interface and ‘easy-to-use’ presets to help new users take advantage of V-Ray’s capabilities quickly. Advanced post-processing with V-Ray Frame Buffer and a stereoscopic camera for VR output are available down the line.

The software also links together V-Ray for SketchUp, Rhino and 3ds Max, enabling projects to move across multiple platforms. Revit cameras, lighting and materials are all supported.

V-Ray for Revit public beta is available as a free download. After creating an account on, users can follow the link at the V-Ray for Revit product page to register.
